Day of the Dead Celebration
November 1 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
$12
It’s a celebration of life!
Bring a photo of a loved one who has passed on, whether a person or a beloved pet, and help us honor their life and spirit for Día de los Muertos.
Día de los Muertos is a Mexican cultural festival that invites the spirits of those we love back for one day to join in the celebration. Rooted in traditions more than 3,000 years old, it blends Mesoamerican ritual, European religion, and Spanish culture, and is celebrated each year from October 31 to November 2. Families welcome their loved ones home with food, flowers, music, and remembrance, because death is a natural part of life and love never goes away.
Join us as we build a community ofrenda (shrine) from the photos you bring, surrounded by golden marigolds, playful skeletons, and fluttering butterflies. Decorate your own calavera (sugar skull) with bright colors, marigolds, and butterflies, and take part in a series of crafts and activities that celebrate the people and animals who shaped our lives.
