Fall Harvest Honey Extraction

As the weather cools, it’s also time to harvest the honey the bees produced throughout the summer. Join us for a guided presentation in the apiary to see, touch, and lift a frame of honey. Back in the classroom, we will have a hands-on demonstration of how honey is extracted manually. We will compare the difference in taste between different types of honey as the nectar source affects the flavor which makes each jar of honey unique.
