Bug Buddies: Monarchs
July 13 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm
$12
This program is part of our Bug Buddies series!
Join us for a captivating exploration of Monarchs, Milkweed, and More as we celebrate these iconic butterflies and their vital connection to native plants. Our Bug Buddies Class on July 13 will teach kids and families about monarch conservation, the magic of metamorphosis, and how to create pollinator-friendly habitats.
Did you know monarch butterflies rely entirely on milkweed to survive? These striking orange-and-black insects lay their eggs exclusively on milkweed plants, which provide both food and protection for their caterpillars. During this hands-on program, you’ll discover why monarchs are in trouble and how you can help!
Classes will take place both outdoors (weather permitting) and indoors. All classes are hands-on, exploratory, and include a related activity.
Recommended for ages 3-10 years old, but all are welcome. One parent or guardian must remain with child(ren) at all times, this is not a drop-off program.
