Girl Scout Programs

Queens Farm offers opportunities for Girl Scouts to explore the natural environment on our historic 47-acre grounds. Programs are available to all membership levels. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Programs at Queens Farm provide enriching experiences that support Girl Scouts along their unique journeys.

Girl Scout programs are offered for a flat fee of $200 for up to 15 Scouts and 2 Leaders, they are 90 minutes in length; each additional person is $15 (Scout, Tag-Along, or Adult). We do not extend time for late arrivals.

GS programs are offered on select Saturdays and Sundays from 10am – 11:30am, 11am – 12:30pm, 2pm – 3:30pm, and on weekdays from 3:30pm – 5:00pm.

Overnights at the Museum
Bring your troop for an unforgettable overnight experience at the Queens County Farm Museum! Scouts will engage in a hands-on badge program of their choice, explore the farm after dark on a guided night tour, complete with a special visit to meet the animals under the evening sky. Afterward, everyone can enjoy delicious s’mores before settling in for a night of discovery and fun.

Journey: Daisy Flower Garden – for Daisies
Explore the world of gardening while you earn the first part of your Daisy Journey: Welcome to the Daisy Flower Garden.

Naturalist (Bugs) – for Brownies
Explore the world of Bugs as we learn about beneficial insects in our gardens. Ladybugs, praying mantises, and other natural pest removers are our friends. Learn how to identify “good” and “bad” bugs in the garden in this hands-on workshop.

Senses – for Brownies
Explore your senses while you look around, listen, put your nose to work, take a taste, touch and feel in this hands-on workshop in our Children’s Garden.

Naturalist (Flowers) – for Juniors
Uncover the science of one flower, look under the petals, and find out how flowers help people in this hands-on workshop.

Animal Habitats – for Juniors
Learn about how to protect animal habitats, see our animal shelters, and find out more about our animals in this hands-on workshop.

Gardener – for Juniors
Visit our Teaching Gardens, experiment with seeds, and learn about different garden plants and flowers in this hands-on workshop.

Science of Happiness – for Cadettes
Find out how scientists measure happiness and put their results into action, and do a helpful happiness experiment in this hands-on workshop.

Naturalist (Sky) – for Seniors
Watch and investigate the science of skies, and learn how to help clear sky pollution in this hands-on workshop in our Children’s Garden.

Journey: Sow What? – for Seniors

Learn about food: how it is grown on our farm and what it means to be certified naturally grown. Earn the first part of your Senior Journey: Sow What?

Locavore – for Seniors

Find out how the efforts of locavores – people who are committed to eating locally grown, seasonal foods – can be an important and delicious part of healthful eating in this hands-on, outdoor workshop in our Children’s Garden. Scouts will prepare ratatouille showcasing local vegetables to take home.

Naturalist (Trees) – Ambassadors

Visit the different varieties of historic trees on our farm and explore the connection between people and trees in this hands-on workshop.

Cancellations up to 2 weeks in advance will get a full refund; no refunds after 2 weeks. 

Full payment is required upon booking.

Our Girl Scout programs are held rain or shine.

QCFM Girl Scout patches are available on-site for $6.50 per patch.

Hayrides are an additional cost at $6/pp.

Custom Girl Scout programs are available. $250 for up to 15 Scouts and 2 Leaders; each additional person is $18 each.
