Volunteer with Us

From Spring through Fall, volunteers are an essential part of life at Queens County Farm Museum. Whether you’re working alongside our farmers, supporting public programs, or helping care for the farm’s historic grounds, volunteering at Queens Farm is a hands-on way to build skills, connect with your community, and contribute to one of New York City’s most unique open spaces.

All experience levels are welcome. Most volunteer roles involve outdoor, physical work, and we encourage volunteers to dress for the weather and farm conditions.

How to Get Started

Volunteering at Queens Farm happens in two simple steps:

1. Complete a Volunteer Intake Form

All volunteers must complete a seasonal intake form before signing up for shifts. This helps us match you with the right opportunities, share safety information, and communicate clearly across departments.

2. Sign up for Volunteer Shifts

Once you’ve completed the intake form, you’ll receive access to weekly volunteer shifts. Some roles – like Crop Crew – offer consistent, recurring days so you can volunteer according to your schedule.

You can volunteer once, weekly, or as your availability allows.
