About Queens County Farm Museum

Queens County Farm Museum (QCFM) is one of New York State’s oldest continuously farmed
sites, with a history dating back to 1697. As a vital and rare agricultural resource in New York
City, QCFM connects visitors to food, farming, and the natural world across a thriving 47-acre
landscape that includes active crop fields, livestock pastures, a historic orchard, compost
systems, and a three-acre corn maze.

The farm utilizes Certified Naturally Grown methods to cultivate fruits, vegetables, herbs, and
flowers, while stewarding a robust livestock program consisting of laying hens, sheep, goats,
alpacas, steer, and pigs. QCFM’s agricultural vision centers regenerative practices, food
production, education, and community engagement—reaching hundreds of thousands of New
Yorkers each year.
