Bee-A-Pollinator Earth Day Service Day

Earth Day is every day at Queens Farm! Join us outdoors for a volunteer service day marking the 51st anniversary of Earth Day. Volunteers will assist with spring clean-up and can enjoy apiary talks with the farm’s resident beekeeper, a compost giveback, Adopt-a-Worm composting tips at the ConEdison Ecology booth, tractor-drawn hayrides ($5/person), a self-guided scavenger hunt, and free giveaways. Sheep Shearing Special Admission Day

Saturday, May 8, 2021
11:00AM – 4:00PM with timed tickets

Time for a haircut! Watch as our sheep get their much-needed spring trims. Visit fiber arts stations for quick demos in wool spinning. Celebrate the growing season with farmer-led tours and a plant sale. Mama Juke will be bringing their New Orleans-influenced music to the mix, so bring your lawn chair and find a crop circle to listen! Kids can learn to compost and Adopt-a-Worm at the Con Edison Ecology Booth. Local brews, tasty food, and hayrides will keep you coming baaa-ck for more. Advance tickets required.
