Children’s Garden

Curious visitors experience pint-sized agriculture in the Children’s Garden! It’s delicious and diverse with 58 different seasonal herbs, fruits, vegetables, and flowers grown at multiple levels for all abilities. Here, agriculture intertwines with play and architecture – hide in a living willow teepee or take some shade in a rain-collecting bean house. It’s an artistic adventure in corn and tomatoes that are as colorful as flowers, and it’s a discovery in historical crops once thought extinct, multicultural favorites, and forgotten native fruits. Explorers may harvest and sample (signs will let you know what to taste), being careful to keep plants and roots intact, and to leave enough for the next visitor to enjoy.
