Seasonal Farm Educator
Our Education Department is seeking fun, engaging educators to lead interactive programs for elementary, middle, and high school groups. Each school year, thousands of NYC youth participate in our school-to-farm class trip programs and learn about growing practices, heritage livestock, and colonial American history. More information about our curriculum is available here. This is a part-time seasonal position. The work schedule is on weekdays with times varying (morning vs. afternoon) based on programming.
Seasonal Event Staff
Queens Farm is seeking energetic individuals to join our seasonal events team. Queens Farm holds a variety of special public events throughout the calendar year bringing visitors to the site and helping to support the mission of the farm. These weekend events can have anywhere from 1,000 – 6,000 visitors per day. Events include, but not limited to, the Barnyard Egg Hunt, Sheep Shearing Festival, Thunderbird American Indian Powwow and our iconic Queens County Fair. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, positive, and patient, with stellar people skills and a passion for customer service.
The Queens Farm Agriculture Department is looking for a motivated, energetic individual to join its team for the 2021 growing season. Through participation in the day-to-day operations of production, the Seasonal Farmer will learn about the skills necessary to work on a diversified farm.
