Queens County Farm Museum is one of the longest continually farmed sites in New York State, dating back to 1697, and the largest tract of farmland in New York City. It implements regenerative farming practices and is a leader in hyper-locally grown food, cultivating over 200 varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Queens Farm is home to the largest single apiary, a site for community composting and the only farm with a full range of livestock in New York City making it a leader in the ecological well-being of New York City and a model for food production, teaching and research.
Queens Farm is a New York City Landmark and on the National Registry of Historic Places. It is the largest cultural institution in Queens, welcoming over 500,000 visitors annually.
