| LABOR DAY CHICKEN BBQ & CAMP OUT SEPT 6th and 7th, 2009 Buy a ticket now. |
![]() Want to sleep out under the stars without leaving New York City? Want to enjoy some Brooklyn Brewery's finest suds while
chowing down on a BBQ pulled chicken sandwich, smoked by superstar butcher Tom Mylan? And wake up the next morning to Bloody Mary's, biscuits, fritattas and coffee.
The farm is open to visitors all day, but the fun and food will really get started shortly after 5 pm, when the gates close to the public. -------------------- WHAT: Chicken BBQ & Camp Out at the Farm --------------------- FAQ: (1) Q: Can we buy tickets at the gate? A: Yes, tickets can be purchased at the gate. All guests will receive wristbands and a cup we hope they will hold on to the whole night. Ticket price at the gate is $80.(2) Q: Is the event kid friendly? A: Absolutely. Kids under 12 don't have to buy a ticket as long as they are with their parents or adults. (3) Q: Can I bring my dog? A: Nope. Dogs are not permitted on the farm. It wasn't our idea-- the pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, and ducks requested this policy and that it be strictly enforced. (4) Q: Can we buy a cheaper ticket if we bring our own food and drinks? A: Sorry, one ticket price per adult is the best way for us to do this. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks, like snacks and stuff. (5) Q: Where will we camp, put up our tent? A: When you arrive at the farm and check in, we'll lead you to the camping spots, in the back of our farm away from the roads, lights and noise of the city. Tents of any size are permitted. (6) Q: What should I bring? A: Bottled water, environmentally friendly insect repellant and snacks are all good ideas. Hammocks, frisbees, soccer balls, camping stoves if you want to make your own stuff. For more information, contact: Michael at Queens Farm-- mgrobertson@queensfarm.org, (718)347-3276 x309.
